Campground Review - Cibola, AZ

Oxbow BLM Campground , Arizona Why we chose here? It was close to Cibola National Wildlife Refuge Location: 3 miles south of Palo Verde on highway 78. Don’t follow the signs to the Cibola Wildlife Refuge. There is a sign “Colorado River” and boat ramp, turn up this unsealed road and head for the river. Sites: quite a few in different areas. Facilities: Primitive toilets, nothing else – no water Groceries: Shop before you come. Reservations : No Cell Coverage / WiFi: Verizon & AT&T – only in the afternoons Price Paid: $15 cash per night (14 day limit per 4 weeks) or a yearly pass that covers 4 different BLM sites nearby for $75. There is a camp host here who can sell you the annual pass. Date of visit: March 2015 Other: Great views from our site overlooking the river. You can dump for a fee at the RV park in Cibola which is on your way to the Refuge. There are signs to the refuge after you drive over the bridge. Turn left towards the ...
